Crail Golfing Society
Founded in 1786, Crail is the seventh oldest golf club in the world. The Balcomie Links, designed by Old Tom Morris, offers a classic links experience with several holes running along the coastline. The Craighead Links, designed by Gil Hanse, provides a modern challenge with panoramic sea views. Both courses are celebrated for their natural beauty and historical significance.
Beasts of the East
According to the Society’s website, “Crail Golfing Society is set on the easternmost edge of the Kingdom of Fife, just 12 miles from St Andrews and the Home of Golf. Founded in 1786 the club dates back to the very origins of the game. While no two rounds of golf at Crail are ever the same, you will always be welcomed with the same special brand of Scottish hospitality.”
