Walton Heath Golf Club

Located in the Surrey heathlands just outside London, Walton Heath boasts two revered courses — the Old and the New — with the Old Course regarded as one of England’s best inland layouts. Designed by Herbert Fowler in 1904, the course meanders through a purple haze of heather, with wide fairways and fast-running turf that often feels like links golf on landlocked terrain. It has hosted many prestigious events, including the Ryder Cup in 1981 and multiple British Masters. The club has a strong pedigree — Winston Churchill was once a member here.

Fit for royalty

Every British prime minister from the early 1900s up to WWII is said to have played a round at Walton Heath!
