Donegal Golf Club

On a course that Open Champion Darren Clarke has called one of his “favourite courses in the world,” Donegal Golf Club (Murvagh) is often called the “Muirfield of Ireland.” The course is surrounded by a pair of bodies of water — the Atlantic Ocean and Donegal Bay — as well as a Special Area of Conservation, making this a unique track for your Northwest Ireland trip.

Playing on Sacred Ground

Donegal Golf Course (Murvagh) is a links course built on a promontory of 182 acres. The course, built on land of geological significance, was inhabited in past centuries, and the earliest of Irish maps indicate this. The course is a magnificent Championship links, a par-73 for both men and women, stretching at more than 7,400 yards from the tips.
