West Coast of Scotland (6-day)

Looking to spend just under a week abroad and want an itinerary that is jam-packed full of fantastic golf and getting to take in all the West Coast of Scotland has to offer? This six-day sample itinerary will take you to five incredible courses,  giving you an experience that you won’t soon forget.

Day 1: Arrival

  • Arrive into Glasgow Prestwick Airport

  • Check into your Hotel

  • Enjoy the first night of your trip in Inverness

Day 2: Western Gailes

According to the club’s website, “the reputation of Western Gailes as one of the game’s finest and more exacting courses has spread worldwide as evidenced by its numerous visitors from around the world including golfing legends from this and the last century. The great Harry Vardon arrived at Western Gailes in June 1903 celebrating his fourth Open victory. In 1923 its attractions were being lauded by the then US Open Champion Gene Sarazen.”

Day 3: Prestwick

Imagine playing where the Open Championship was born — yes, that’s a story worth telling. At Lyons Links, we open the doors to what some believe is impossible, but we take that as a challenge. You can experience a Scottish gem when you tee it up at Prestwick, where Old and Young Tom Morris, Willie Park Sr. and Harry Vardon all won the Claret Jug.

Day 4: Royal Troon

Lyons Links is privileged to have been recognised by the St. Andrews Links Trust  for our commitment to standards with “Authorised Provider” status, a prestigious honor given to few travel companies. It also gives us access to precious guaranteed tee times on the hallowed ground at the home of golf. We look forward to helping golfers from all over the world to tee it up where it all began. Here’s more about the world’s most famous golf course.

Day 5: Turnberry

At Lyons Links, we enjoy the opportunity to pair our golfers with some of the world’s best courses — and Turnberry is definitively among the elite courses we can snag tee times at. The home of four Open Championships, the course is one part challenging for golfers of all skill levels and another part mesmerizing due to its majestic views at every corner.
